When I started my LinkedIn sales journey I started posting content on an ad-hoc basis.
Probably once every week or two.
I would post about anything and everything that interested me.
But then I felt a nudge.
Why not post more?
I was nervous:
- What would people think?
- What if no one engages?
- What if my content alienates my network?
I pushed forward regardless, what did I have to lose?
From a random post every now and then, I went to 1 post a week, to 3 posts a week and now 6 posts a week!
But it came at a cost.
- I made some terrible posts,
- Didn't get much engagement, and
- My network grew slowly.
I felt rejected.
There was no immediate success.
It was only when I stayed consistent towards my vision, pushed on despite lack of engagement and found my niche did I start to get any traction.
The rejection is subtle.
There's no singular person rejecting you, it just feels like no one is there to receive you.
But it's temporary.
And when you supercharge that "rejection" to keep posting and building, that's where true creative freedom is unlocked.
Learn from it and adapt your content until you get the right signal.
So to summarise:
- Don't care what others think
- Find your niche
- Post as often as you can
- Welcome rejection and learn from it
- Look for the signals
- Double-down on what works
Supercharge rejection.
